With roots tracing back to biblical times, this historic community has been nurturing olive groves since the 12th century, when it was noted for its olive presses and agricultural bounty.

The village's traditional landscape, dotted with olive trees and blessed with natural springs, has sustained generations of farming families who have preserved time-honored agricultural practices.
