Terms of service
Olive Odyssey — Terms & Conditions
Overview
This website and online store (the “Site”) are operated by Olive Odyssey. In these Terms, “Olive Odyssey,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Olive Odyssey group of companies:
-
Odyssey Olive Farmers (Palestine) – purchaser of raw materials (including olive oil and herbs) and farmer relations, registered in Nablus, Palestine.
-
Yala Impact Ltd (Israel) – packing, bottling, labeling, quality checks, and export operations, registered at Toval 13, Haifa, Israel. Yala Impact exists because Israel currently restricts direct exports from the West Bank; therefore, the Israeli entity handles packing and export logistics.
-
Olive Odyssey LLC (United States) – importer of record, marketing, sales, and distribution, registered at 152 North Durbin Street, Suite 210, Casper, WY 82601, USA.
By visiting our Site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). These Terms apply to all Site users. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a new version on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the changes.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to sell our products and services.
1) Using Our Store
You must be the age of majority where you live to use the Site or make a purchase (or have your parent/guardian’s permission). You may not use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. Don’t transmit malware, attempt to break security, or otherwise misuse the Site. We may refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion (for example, suspected fraud, resale activity, abuse, or non-compliance with these Terms).
2) Your Account & Information
Keep your account details accurate and up-to-date (including email, shipping address, and payment details). Some content you submit may travel over networks unencrypted; payment card data is always encrypted in transit.
3) Product Information & Availability
We work hard to describe products accurately and show true-to-life images. Natural foods (like olive oil) vary by harvest; flavor notes can differ slightly by lot and season. From time to time, the Site may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies (e.g., pricing or availability). We may correct errors, change information, or cancel orders where permitted by law.
Products and services may be available in limited quantities and may be sold only online. We may limit quantities per order/person/household. We may discontinue products at any time.
4) Prices, Currency & Taxes
Prices may change without notice. Unless we say otherwise, prices are shown in USD at checkout. If your bank or card operates in a different currency, your provider may apply an exchange rate and/or fees—these are your responsibility. For orders shipped outside the U.S., import duties, VAT/GST, customs fees, brokerage charges, and any local taxes are typically not included in our prices and are your responsibility unless we clearly state that taxes/duties are prepaid.
5) Shipping, Delivery & Risk of Loss
-
Global shipping: We ship worldwide where legally permitted. Some destinations may be restricted by local law, carrier limits, or sanctions (see Section 16).
-
Dispatch & estimates: Any shipping or delivery dates are estimates; customs inspection, weather, carrier issues, or other events may cause delays.
-
Address accuracy: You are responsible for providing an accurate, deliverable address and for receiving the parcel.
-
Risk of loss: Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the address you provide or upon carrier handoff if your region’s law applies that rule.
-
Refused/undeliverable parcels: If a parcel is refused or undeliverable due to an incorrect address or failure to accept delivery, we can refund the product price (less shipping and any return or customs fees we incur) if/when the item returns to us in sellable condition.
For full shipping details, see our Shipping Policy as posted on the Site (e.g., /policies/shipping-policy).
6) Returns, Refunds & Food Safety
We want you to love your order. Because our products are food items, returns are subject to health and safety rules:
-
Unopened non-perishable items may be eligible for return within the timeframe stated in our Refund Policy (as posted on the Site, e.g., /policies/refund-policy).
-
Opened food items generally cannot be returned due to health regulations, unless defective or not as described.
-
Damages or issues: Inspect your order upon receipt and contact us promptly if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate and make it right.
-
Region-specific rights: EU/UK customers have statutory rights, including a withdrawal right for distance purchases; however, sealed goods not suitable for return for health protection/hygiene reasons once unsealed are exempt (e.g., opened food products). Your mandatory local consumer rights always apply.
Please review our Refund/Returns Policy for the process and timelines.
7) Pre-Orders
From time to time we may offer pre-orders (for example, tied to a new harvest). Pre-order dates are estimates and can shift due to agricultural and logistics realities (e.g., milling schedules, lab testing, customs clearance). If a significant delay occurs, we will notify you and offer options (continue to wait, modify, or cancel for a refund as permitted by law).
8) Promotions, Gift Cards & Credits
Promotional codes, offers, and store credits:
-
Are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and valid only for the period and terms we specify.
-
May not be combined unless stated.
-
We may cancel, suspend, or modify a promotion if we suspect fraud, abuse, or technical errors.
Gift cards are treated as cash equivalents and are redeemable only on the Site, subject to any region-specific legal requirements.
9) Reviews, Comments & User Content
If you submit reviews, photos, ideas, or other content (“User Content”), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content in connection with our business and the Site. You’re responsible for your content and you promise you own the rights or have permission. We may monitor, edit, or remove content that violates law or these Terms, but we are not obligated to do so.
10) Intellectual Property
All Site content—text, images, logos, trademarks, packaging designs, product names, and other materials—is owned by us or licensed to us and protected by IP laws. You may use the Site and its content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No licenses are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms.
11) Optional Tools & Third-Party Links
We may give you access to third-party tools (e.g., payment processors, SMS platforms, review widgets) provided “as is” without warranties. Third-party sites and tools have their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.
12) Privacy & Cookies
Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy, as posted on the Site (e.g., /policies/privacy-policy and /policies/cookies). These policies explain what we collect, why, and your choices (including marketing preferences and cookies).
13) Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) — If You Opt In
If you choose to receive SMS/MMS from us (e.g., order updates, harvest news, promotions):
-
Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply.
-
You can opt out anytime by replying STOP (you may receive a confirmation). For help, reply HELP or email hey@oliveodyssey.com.
-
Delivery depends on your carrier and device. We’re not liable for delays or failures in message delivery.
-
By opting in, you consent to receive marketing and transactional texts at the number you provide. Consent isn’t a condition of purchase.
Local telemarketing rules (e.g., Florida, Washington, Oklahoma) will be honored where applicable.
14) Sanctions, Export Controls & Restricted Destinations
You may not purchase or use the Site if you are in, under the control of, or a national/resident of any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargoes, or if you are on any restricted party lists under applicable trade laws (including U.S., EU, UK, and UN regimes). We may screen orders for compliance and cancel where required by law.
15) Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Fraud
We monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and may require additional verification, refuse, hold, or cancel orders to comply with AML, sanctions, anti-fraud, or similar laws. We report as required by law.
16) Global Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence (e.g., EU/UK consumer law). Where there’s a conflict between these Terms and non-waivable local law, the local law controls.
17) Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability
We try to keep the Site available, secure, and accurate, but we cannot guarantee continuous, error-free operation. Except where prohibited by law:
-
The Site and all products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
-
We disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
-
We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill), even if advised of the possibility.
-
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site or purchase of products will not exceed the amount you paid for the product(s) giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law (e.g., fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence in jurisdictions where such limits are not allowed).
18) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
-
Contracting entity: Unless we say otherwise in your order confirmation, your purchase is with Olive Odyssey LLC (USA).
-
Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence still apply.
-
Informal resolution first: If there’s a concern, please contact hey@oliveodyssey.com and we’ll do our best to resolve it.
-
Arbitration & class-action waiver (U.S. customers): If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, U.S. customers agree to binding individual arbitration under the Commercial Rules of the AAA. No class actions or class arbitrations. Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court.
-
Non-U.S. customers: You may bring claims in the courts of your habitual residence where required by local law, and nothing in this Section deprives you of protections afforded by mandatory laws of your country.
19) Force Majeure
We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, war, sanctions changes, governmental actions, pandemics, supply or carrier failures, power outages).
20) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms or illegal activity. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, governing law, dispute resolution) will survive termination.
21) Entire Agreement; No Waiver
These Terms, plus the policies referenced here (Privacy, Cookies, Shipping, Refunds), are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and your purchases. Our failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver.
22) Severability & Assignment
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our consent; we may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

We’re a cross-border brand connecting you directly to Palestinian olive growers. Because Israel blocks direct exports from the West Bank, our Israeli company packs and exports; our U.S. company imports and serves you. We aim to ship quickly, describe products honestly, and treat you fairly. If something goes wrong, email hey@oliveodyssey.com—we’ll fix it.
