About this oil

Most kitchens need one oil they never have to think about. This Nabali from Sarra, just west of Nablus, is ours: delicate and fruity, with a gentle peppery finish. Mustafa Turabi presses it in his own press in Sarra, a few minutes from the trees. Roast with it, dress salads with it, and keep a saucer of it next to the bread.

Mustafa Turabi

An engineer who runs his own olive press in Sarra, working alongside his sons.

We pay every farmer 25 to 30% above the market price.

Mustafa Turabi is a farmer and an engineer, and his press in Sarra, a village just west of Nablus, is where the two meet. Across Palestine he is known as an engineer of olive oil production, and he has helped set up more than 50 presses. He owns the Sarra press and runs it alongside his sons, so his Nabali goes from tree to press without leaving the village. His way of working pairs technical precision with a deep respect for the land. Sarra suits that kind of patience: an old farming village whose hillside terraces were once fed by springs. Make his oil the bottle you reach for every day.

★★★★★Beautiful olive oil

Buttery with a mild peppery finish, this is a beautiful oil. It’s a great all-rounder, and is fantastic in salads, pasta, and cooking alike.

★★★★★Light and Peppery

I am so pleased to receive my first bottle of Olive Odyssey Extra Virgin Olive oil. I can taste the aliveness in each drip. It is light on the tongue and savory. It has a subtle pepperiness in the throat. You can absolutely tell that the olives were pressed the same day that they were picked. It is the freshest olive oil I've ever had.

★★★★★Delicious with hummus and warm bread

This is such a delicious, fresh and fragrant oil. Loved tasting it with home made hummus, warm bread and some of the sumac that I ordered. So much better than any store bought oils.

★★★★★Beautiful rich flavour

I purchased this especially as a present for my sister who enjoys cooking. She loved the present. We had beautiful pure flavoursome omelette the first time we used it. It's absolutely stunning, and made a beautiful soup to go with it containing Anzac flavour to add depth and the oil. Best food purchase I have ever made due to helping farmers on Palestine, gifting my sister whose a cook, and then getting to enjoy the produce in its rich purity. Very highly recommend

★★★★★Olive Odyssey Never Disappoints

This is lovely for everyday use, and for special use. Great as a topping on vegetable stews, hummus, or just with pita and zata'ar. Lovely aroma and fruity but full-bodied.

★★★★★Gorgeous, subtle oil

Really beautiful oil, reminds me a little of the Arbequina variety, but with more pepper on the finish, great just as a dipper for bread.
