Baladi Pair
2 × 750ml + 500ml (25.4 fl oz + 16.9 fl oz) | Cold-pressed in steel drums
Description
Two bottles. Two kinds of hands. The Arraba Rumi comes from Abed Elghani Asaaf — one farmer, one family, generations of care poured into ancient Rumi trees on fertile northern plains. The Anza Early Harvest comes from the Anza Agricultural Cooperative — dozens of families farming together in the hills southwest of Jenin, producing a certified organic oil that's bold, earthy, and unapologetically green. Its label carries a hand-embroidered piece created by women refugees from Gaza in Jerash, made in collaboration with Trashy Clothing. One bottle is shaped by a single pair of hands. The other by an entire community's.

Baladi means "from my land." It's the word Palestinians use for the real thing — the food that's grown here, made here, by the people who've always been here. Both of these bottles are baladi, but they got there differently. In Arraba, Abed Elghani works the same groves his family has tended for centuries — his oil is smooth, fruity, and carries the quiet confidence of a farmer who knows his trees. In Anza, farming is a shared act — the cooperative brings together families across the village, each contributing to a harvest that's bolder, earthier, and picked early while the fruit is still intensely green. Then there are the hands you don't see in the oil itself. The embroidery on the Anza bottle was stitched by women from Gaza living in Jerash, Jordan — their craft woven directly into the label through a collaboration with Trashy Clothing. One bottle is the work of one family. The other carries the work of many. Both are baladi.
Experiencing two sides of Palestinian farming — the single-estate tradition and the community cooperative. Gifting someone a bottle to finish with and a bottle to cook with. Anyone drawn to the story behind what they eat — the hands, the land, the people. Keeping one on the table and one by the stove.
