This decision comes from a place of urgency and responsibility.

Why We Are Striking

Gaza is facing an ongoing genocide. Entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble. Two million people are being forced into just a fraction of their land, with food, water, and medical supplies cut off. This Israelis genocide against our people is not happening in isolation—it is sustained by global complicity: by governments supplying weapons, corporations profiting from war, and institutions staying silent.

Olive Odyssey was born to celebrate Palestinian land, farmers, and heritage. We cannot separate our olive oil, our stories, or our brand from our people and families in Gaza.
To continue “business as usual” while our people are under attack would betray the very values we stand for.

What the Global Strike Means

The strike, called by Palestinian organizers and amplified by the BDS movement, is a worldwide action to disrupt economic and political systems that enable this genocide. Its goals include:

Demanding sanctions and military and energy embargoes against Israel.

Escalating boycotts and disruptions targeting corporations, financial institutions, and media outlets complicit in war crimes.

Organizing mass protests at government ministries, parliaments, and city councils to pressure leaders to suspend trade and academic ties, join legal actions at The Hague, and expel apartheid
Israel from the UN.

Encouraging spending boycotts, transport slowdowns, and workplace solidarity actions to create visible, global pressure for change.

How This Affects Our Operations During the strike:

How You Can Participate

1. Spend Nothing: Make no purchases on strike days. Pause subscriptions and avoid transactions, including fuel or transit tickets.
2. Join or Support Peaceful Actions: Attend local protests, participate in boycott campaigns, or engage in peaceful disruptions of complicit corporations or institutions.
3. Spread the Word: Share the strike on social media and with your networks. Use #StrikeForGaza to amplify the message.
4. Slow Production Where Possible: If feasible, take leave or reduce output at work. Even if you can’t step away from work, your spending boycott alone makes an impact.
